Northwest Leather Master/slave 2023

We are honored and humbled to have received the titles of Northwest Master and slave 2023 at the Northwest Leather Celebration. We learned a lot about ourselves and our dynamic, and shared ourselves in what we hope was a deep and meaningful way.

Ours has been a short title year, just 9 months (38 weeks), so everything has felt condensed, not enough time to accomplish everything we wanted  to do with this title. But it’s been a great ride!

We’ve been asked many times why we ran for this title. It was to help us do more of the work we love, teaching about M/s and BDSM and Leather. In that respect it’s been a wildly successful title year. Since we were awarded the title we’ve gone to 51 separate Leather events, traveled over 9,000 miles, visited 8 different cities in 6 different states, attended all of the other regional M/s conferences, taught 12 classes, shoveled snow in Wyoming, and met more people than we could count. In each of these places it’s been an honor to represent the Northwest Region, and we will continue to do that as “wuzzies”: We already have plans to attend and teach at several conferences this year, and will continue to proudly wear our title patches.

As we traveled, coming together after the COVID years was exhilarating. To see people face to face, to be with leather community, to share laughter and tears and share stories, meant everything to us. It refreshed our souls, and we are deeply grateful to all of you.

Although we didn’t bring home the International Master/slave title, the experience of competing was incredible. Our contestant class of 11 (5 IPoL contestants and 3 IMs contestant pairs) became close, and we had a blast supporting each other. But we will certainly think twice before going anywhere else with 8 suitcases, a full-size clothing rack, 18 outfits, a contestant basket worth more than $1,000, and 34 separate items for the silent auction!
